FLORENCE YUHAR WOLAK

Florence Yuhar, born April 25, 1915 in Fayette City, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, was the daughter of John and Kathryn (Stanko) Yuhar, both born in Austria (or Czechoslovakia) and residing in Fayette City.

Florence was living on Calvin Street, Pittsburgh, when she married William S. Wolak, the son of John P. Wolak and Hedwig A. Pieszlak, both born in Poland. William was born in Everson, Pennsylvania on February 3, 1904. The marriage took place in Pittsburgh on May 15, 1945. William Wolak was one of the first male nurse graduates of the St. Francis School of Nursing. He graduated in the Class of 1927.

OBITUARY - MRS. FLORENCE YUHAR WOLAK, a native of Fayette City, died Sunday in Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. She had resided at East Liberty. Surviving are her husband, William; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Yuhar of Fayette City; two sons [William Edward & Robert], one daughter [Karen] and five sisters, including Mrs. Mary Honsaker of Monessen. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Edward's R. C. Church at Fayette City at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow. (Died October 18, 1953.)

William Wolak died in July 1964.
