William Wolak was one of the first male nurse graduates of the St. Francis School of Nursing. He married Florence Yuhar, Class of 1945-F. His sister, Frances Wolak graduated in the Class of 1933.

The names of the graduates in the Class of 1927 were published in the Pittsbugh Press. Mr. Wolak was listed as "Valentine S. Wolak," from Emerson.

William S. Wolak, born February 3, 1904, was the son of John P. Wolak and Hedwig A. Pieszlak, both born in Poland. The marriage to Florence Yuhar took place in Pittsburgh on May 15, 1945.

William Wolak died in July 1964. One son, Robert J. Wolak, died in 1990 in Akron, Ohio.
