Agnes Yaros was the sister of Helen Yaros, Class of 1940. They were born and raised in Starford, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. Their parents were Andrew Yaros, a coal miner, and Mary Cesowski, both born in Austria.

Agnes married Bernard M. Sullivan, and they lived in Pittsburgh. Bernard died July 14, 1995. No children are mentioned in his obituary.
