In May 1948, Helen Yaros, 28, a Graduate Nurse, was residing at 4532 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh. She married Francis J. Hickey, born July 8, 1920, the son of Frank A. Hickey and Helen Griffitts. The marriage took place at Swissvale, Allegheny County on May 15, 1948.

Great-grandmother of Ashley Rihn. Also survived by a brother, Joseph Yaros, of Ohio; and two sisters, Agnes Sullivan, of Pittsburgh and Theresa Rigo, of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Helen was a graduate of the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, where she worked as a registered nurse until becoming a full-time mother. Her most prized passion was enjoying life with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME INC., 7441 Washington St., Swissvale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday in St. Anselm Church at 1 p.m. The family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
