OBITUARY: Anna (Zuk) Smosna, age 95, of Crafton, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025. Anna was born on August 3, 1929 to the late Anna and Frank Zuk. Wife of the late Andrew for 66 years until his death in 2016. She is survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by siblings Sally Ratych Lesso, Michael Ratych, Mary Ratych Stapinski, Nicholas Ratych, Helen Ratych Clements, Elizabeth Ratych, and Frank Zuk. Mother of Sharon Bignell, Linda, Gregory, and the late Carl. Anna graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1968 as a registered nurse. After retiring from nursing, she became an artist specializing in portraiture. Later she became a choir member at St. Philip Church in Crafton and became a cantor. She did this for 10 years. Anna had many beautiful hats which she wore to church. She was known as the "Hat Lady." Relatives and friends received Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 4-8 PM. at the SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., at 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. Funeral prayer Friday, February 28, 2025 at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Philip Catholic Church, 50 West Crafton Ave., Crafton. Interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
