OBITUARY
Dorothy Catherman Neudorff, 85, of Pennsylvania Furnace, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born April 13, 1923, in Dungarvin, she was the daughter of George Dewey and Elva (Hannah) Catherman. She graduated from Warriors Mark Franklin High School in 1941, St. Francis School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, in 1947, and California State University, Northridge, in 1963, where she received her B.A. degree in nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse at Veterans Administration at Coatesville, Pa., and Sepulveda, Calif. She retired from her position as nursing administrator at Camarillo State Hospital, California, in 1985. She was a member of the Warriors Mark United Methodist Church. Surviving are two brothers, Nelson Catherman and wife, Doris, of State College, Wilson Catherman and wife, Lorma, of Warriors Mark; and three nephews, Mark, Daniel and Edward. She had one son, John Lewis, Jr., who died in infancy.
