OBITUARY: Virginia Ann Meslovich, 85, of Berlin, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Virginia began her life in Marguerite, PA, on Oct. 27, 1938. Sadly, this journey ended on Sunday, April 28, at the age of 85, at Meadowview Nursing Center in Berlin. Virginia was the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Kopcho) Meslovich. Virginia was the third child out of seven in the Meslovich family. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Andrew, Joseph, and John Meslovich; and sister, Susanna Miller. Survived by sisters, Margaret (Tony) Taliaferro and Evelyn Mognet; niece, Shelli (Chad) Lytle; nephews, Alan Mognet, Ryan Taliaferro, and Joseph (Elizabeth) Meslovich; and great-niece and nephew, Alexandra and Benjamin Meslovich. Moreover, after Virginia graduated from high school, she worked at Saint Vincent College as a secretary. While working at Saint Vincent College, Virginia wanted to pursue her faith in the Catholic Religion. As a result, she joined Saint Emma's Monastery as a Benedictine Nun on Feb. 2, 1961. While serving as a Benedictine Nun, she went to Saint Francis in Pittsburgh for training to receive her license as a registered nurse, graduating in 1972. In 1996, Virginia left Saint Emma's Monastery to help her sister Sue care for their mother, due to her medical background. Family will receive friends from 12 until service at 1 p.m. Thursday at DEANER FUNERAL HOME, Berlin. Rev. Mark Pattock O.F.M. Cap. Celebrant.
