MONICA LOWRY CAMPBELL

Class of 1912

In the 1900 Federal Census of Blairsville, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, Monica Lowry, 15, born March 1885, was a servant in the home of William and Mary Doran.

Monica Lowry was listed as 28 in the 1910 census of Pittsburgh, at which time she was a student nurse, residing in the St. Francis Nurses' Home. The record indicates that she was born in New Jersey, which is questionable, her father born in Maryland, and mother in Pennsylvania.

In two news articles about St. Francis School of Nursing Alumnae activities, dated 1915, Monica is referred to as (1) Miss Monica L. Camel, and (2) Mrs. Camel.

In 1920, still in Hecla District, Frank and Monica were the parents of Perry, Camilla and Richard.

By 1930, still in Hecla, Frank was a Foreman at the coal mine. Their children were Perry, Camilla, James, Anastasia, Robert, Catherine, John, Monica, and Regina.
