OBITUARY: IDA JOYCE SHARPE EDMUNDS - At 61, unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 3, 2004. Beloved daughter of the late John and Mattie Primus Sharpe; dearly beloved mother of Michele (Michael) Fleming of West Orange, NJ, Marc Douglas Lewis, Miccah Evette Lewis of Bloomfield, NJ, Adam John Edmunds of Charlottesville, VA and the late Melvin Douglas Lewis, Jr.; sister of Mollie (Zinnerford) Smith of Newark, NJ and Elizabeth Ann (Leon) Haley of Pgh.; niece of Mrs. Willa Hughes of Hollis, NY and Mrs. Mozelle Primus of Cincinnati, OH; loving grandmother of Kira, Max, Kalyx, Darren, Dylan, Darius, Hannah and Miles. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joyce was a graduate of Schenley High School, St. Francis School of Nursing and the School of Social Work at University of Pittsburgh. She worked as a nurse in the Pittsburgh area, Atlanta, GA, California, and was most recently employed at the Veterans Hospital in Pittsburgh. Visitation with the family will be on Monday Nov. 8, from 5-8 pm at Wesley Center A.M.E. Zion Church, 2701 Center Ave., where a Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Service will be held at 7 pm.
