A news article about the St. Francis graduating Class of 1915 states that this graduate was "Minnie M. Krise, Odessa." Odessa, Pennsylvania no longer exists but it was in Clearfield County.
In the 1880 Federal Census, Minnie Crise, age 5, is found in Girard, Clearfield, Pennsylvania, with her family. Her parents were William F. Krise, a Civil War Veteran, and Sophia Graham. Siblings in 1880 were Alfred, Alice, Charles, Phillip, Lewis, and Mitchell.
In 1900, the only children at home with the parents were Bessie, Bertha, and Elmer. Minnie was employed as a house servant in Clearfield and lived in a boarding house.
The father died in 1916 in Clearfield County.
In 1920, Minnie Krise was a boarder in a home on Dearborn Street, Pittsburgh, and was employed as a nurse by a private family.
The mother died in 1931 in Clearfield County.
On September 14, 1934, Minnie M. Krise died of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia at her home in Ambridge, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. According to her death record, she is buried at Gillingham Cemetery, Clearfield, Clearfield County. Her parents are buried there, as well.
