At the time of the 1940 Federal Census, Patricia Krieg, 16, lived with her parents, John M. and Monica (McLaughlin) Krieg, in Bradford, Pennsylvania. Her siblings were William, 15, Anna M., 13, Eileen, 11, and Samuel, 3.
While a student nurse at St. Francis Hospital, Patricia Krieg, participated in the U.S., World War II Cadet Nursing Corps.
Bradford Evening Star, May 2, 1945: "Patricia Mary Krieg Graduates as Nurse - Miss Patricia Mary Krieg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Krieg of 1 Amm street, graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh on May 9. She is a graduate of St. Bernard's school, class of 1942."
On April 19, 1947, Patricia Krieg married Jack Colligan, a military veteran employed in the real estate business. Patricia was a school nurse at St. Bernard's school.
Patricia's brother, William John Krieg, a pilot, was lost at sea on March 12, 1959: "Clearing weather Wednesday permitted the Air Force to broaden and intensify the search for an ex-Bradford pilot missing in his jet fighter off the stormy New Jersey-Long Island coast. He is First Lt. William J. Krieg, 35, Skaneateles, N. Y. The Bradford-born Air National Guard flyer has been missing since Monday afternoon. Lt. Krieg was born in Bradford, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Krieg. His father manages the Bradford A and P store."
Patricia's husband, John F. "Jack" Colligan, died on April 5, 1991. According to the obituary, their children were John "Jake," Michael, Patrick, Mary "Kitty" and Marjorie "Minnie."
Patricia Krieg Colligan, born on July 29, 1923, died on March 5, 2003. She and her husband are buried at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bradford, Pennsylvania. Their son, Michael P. Colligan, died in November 2003.
