Ella Kranack was born on February 23, 1902, in Pennsylvania, to Michael and Anna Kranack, both born in Austria.
She married John Raymond Lindenfelser and they had a son, John Raymond, Jr. Ella and her husband also adopted Ella's youngest sibling, Elynor Kranack, following the death of their mother, Anna Kranack in 1925. Elynor Lindenfelser graduated in the St. Francis Class of 1945-S
During her career, Ella was the head nurse in the Emergency Room at St. Francis.

July 13, 1984, age 82; wife of the late Raymond; mother of Raymond J., Jr. of Pgh and Mrs. Elynor Steel, of Cleveland; sister of Mrs. Anne D. Yurcon, Michael A. Kranack, Mrs. Jewel Haas, Mrs. Ann Manuel, Mrs. Margaret Culbert, Jack Kranick and Peter Kranack; also six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends received at Savolskis Wasik Glenn Funeral Home, 3501 Main St., Munhall, Mon. 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass Tues. at 11 a.m., St. Therese Church.
Ella's husband died in August 1971. Sister/Adopted daughter, Elynor, born in 1924, died July 10, 1997. Their son, born in 1928, died in 1987 at the age of 58. He had served as a Lieutenant in the US Army.
