Class of 1913
The School of Nursing roster shows "Agnes" as her first name, but no available records reflect that name. In a news article about the graduation of the Class of 1913, her name is stated as Christina Florence Kerr. Christina and Christine are both found, but Christine is on her tombstone.
Christine Florence Kerr was born May 7, 1889 in Clarion County, Pennsylvania. Her parents were Francis Patrick "Frank," born in June 1846, and Catherine (Markley), born in April 1850. Christine's siblings in the 1900 Federal Census of Limestone, Clarion County, were Mary M., Catharine, Thomas, Margaret, James, F. P., Edward H. (Hillary), and William (William Ignatius, "Nate").
When her father died in Limestone, Clarion County, in 1930, Miss Christine Kerr, a resident of Beechwood Blvd., Pittsburgh, was the informant for the death record. The mother had died in 1921. Christine was also listed at that address in the 1930 census.
In 1940, Christine F. Kerr is found in Washington, Clarion County, at which time she stated she had been living in Toledo, Ohio in 1935. No occupation was listed in 1940.
Christine Florence Kerr died in October 1981 and she is buried at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Crates, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. Her parents and numerous other family members are buried there.
