PHYLLIS KAST GREGART

Class of 1918

On November 12, 1920, Phyllis Cracentia Kast, Trained Nurse, declared her intention to become a Naturalized Citizen. Her application indicates that she was born in Warsaw, Lithuania on December 25, 1896, and she arrived in New York in August 1904. At the time of her declaration, she was living in Donora, Pennsylvania.

In the 1920 census, "Philis" Kast, born in Pennsylvania, was a boarder at a home in Donora. She was employed as a nurse at a wire mill.

On August 1, 1927, in Lucas County, Ohio, Phyllis Kast, 30, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, living in Detroit, Michigan, married Charles Gregart, 30, also born in Pittsburgh and living in Detroit. Stanley Kast was named as the father of Phyllis.

Phyllis Gregart, 32, married, is listed in the 1930 census with other nurses at the Delray Industrial Hospital Nurses' Home in Detroit.

Charles Gregart, 42, and Phyllis, 43, both born in Lithuania, are named in the 1940 census of Detroit. Phyllis was employed as a hospital nurse, and Charles worked at an automobile factory.

In December 1961, George Kaselonis died in Detroit. His sister is listed as Phyllis Gregart, an indication that the family name might originally have been Kaselonis.

Phyllis died on May 5, 1976, last residence, Wayne County, Michigan.
