SISTER'S OBITUARY: Donna Kaschok Armstrong, 60, of Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, in UPMC Shadyside. She was born July 8, 1945, in North Charleroi, a daughter of Alice Wislosky Kaschok and the late John Kaschok Jr. She was baptized in Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, of Charleroi, and was a retired legislative assistant. Donna enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. Survivors include her mother, Alice Kaschok, of Stockdale; daughter, Lori and husband, Randall Russell, of Fox Chapel; son, Robert Thomas Armstrong, of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren, Jonathan Beck Russell and Elizabeth Lee Russell, of Fox Chapel, and Logan James Armstrong, of Belle Vernon; sister, Joan Kaschok, of Rillton; niece, Susan Gentile, of Squirrel Hill; and her dearest friend, Carole Busch-Cappetta. She was preceded in death by her father, John Kaschok Jr. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., Roscoe. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. MOTHER'S OBITUARY (post-gazette.com): KASCHOK, ALICE N. 87, of Stockdale, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, in Mercy Hospital. Born January 20, 1920, in Coal Center, she was the daughter of the late John and Nellie Wesley. Alice was a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Church in Charleroi and was involved in numerous church activities. During the last six months, she was delighted in having Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont as her residence. Survivors include a daughter, Joan Kaschok of Rillton, PA; three grandchildren, Susan Marie Gentile, Lori Russell and husband Randall, and Robert Armstrong; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan Russell, Elizabeth Lee Russell, and Logan Armstrong; her physician and friend, Dr. James Solan; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John "Hank" Kaschok, Jr.; daughter, Donna Kaschok Armstrong; brother, John Wesley; and sisters, Julia Gobus, Ann Kirtiklus, and Helen Fisher. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. Thursday in the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 1008 Furlong Avenue, Roscoe. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2007, with Rev. James Ragan officiating. Internment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
