Emma Jane Kapcoe, born in Austria on June 12, 1910, was the daughter of George Kapcoe and Mary Baranick.

At the time of the 1920 Federal Census, George and Mary Kapcoe, residents of Pine, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, had the following children: Julia, 17, Lizzie, 16, Emma, 8, Helena, 3 months, Mike, 14, George, 12, John, 7, and Andy, 5.

In 1930, Emma was a student nurse at St. Francis Hospital and resided at the Nurses' Residence.

Emma lived in Green, Indiana County, with her parents and her brothers, Mike and Andy, in 1940. No profession is listed.

The death of Emma Jane Kapcoe, Nurse, occurred on June 25, 1944. She died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis and Amyloidosis at the age of 34. She is buried at Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Patton, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
