According to her birth record, Mary Edna Jenkins, born in Pittsburgh on August 18, 1908, was the daughter of Robert Jenkins and Mabelle A. Gwillium, both born in Pittsburgh.
At the time of the 1920 Federal Census, Robert, a railroad clerk, and Mabel had daughter, Mary, age 11, and son, Robert, age 9. They resided in Carnegie.
Mabel Gwilliam Jenkins, the mother, age 31, died of complications of an exopthalmic goiter on May 24, 1922. Her husband, Robert M. Jenkins, 38, died of heart issues on December 24, 1922. They are buried at Chartiers Cemetery, Carnegie.
Mary Edna Jenkins married Raymond Wetterauer of Erie, Pennsylvania. At the time of the 1940 census, they had no children.
From a list of Pennsylvania Registered Nurses, 1940-1941, published by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners: "Mary Jenkins Wetterauer, 3926 W. Ridge Rd., Erie."
Mary Jenks Wetterauer was not quite 35 when she died of Pancreatitis and Hepatitis on August 6, 1943 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Erie. She is buried at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, Erie.
