OBITUARY: Mary Humphreys, age 84, died Monday morning, April 29, 2002, at Passavant Health Center in Zelienople. She was born in Pittsburgh, Dec. 5, 1917, daughter of George and Dorothea Schmale Marterer. Mrs. Humphreys was a nurse at North Hills Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township and a member of Mars United Presbyterian Church. Survived by three daughters, Katherine Oswald of North Hills, Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) Specht of Boyers and Mrs. Ronald (Tanya) Redilla of Lansdale, Pa. Also survived by seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Humphreys; two brothers, William and Albert Marterer; and a sister, Katherine Mikesell. Private service and interment in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township were held Tuesday morning with the Rev. Robert B. McCrumb II, pastor of Mars United Presbyterian Church as officiant. Arrangements under the direction of MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME INC., 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
