OBITUARY: MACHAJ MARY JANE (HRUTKAY)-- Age 93, formerly of Bethel Park, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Theodore S. Machaj [died March 3, 1987]; and son, Dr. Vincent Machaj; left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Carolyn Banks; daughter-in-law, Helen Machaj; brother, Theodore "Teddy" (Becky) Hrutkay; grandchildren, Stephanie (Kevin) McGurty, Eric (Meena) Banks, Matthew Machaj, Helena (Muhammad) Ramadan, Christine Machaj, Laura (Doug) Hanson and David (Erin) Machaj; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Jane was a long time member of Bethel Park Gold Club, a member of St. Thomas More since 1952. She served as a Lieutenant in the U. S. Navy during WWII. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 20 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at FREYVOGEL-SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 112 Fort Couch Rd., (opposite Macy's South Hills village), Bethel Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Thomas More Church 10 a.m. Followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2900 Washington Rd., McMurray.
