Rosemary Clara Horan was born in Pittsburgh on November 5, 1915. Her parents were Michael M. Horan, born in Massachusetts, and Mary Katherine Fleckenstein, born in Pittsburgh. Rosemary's siblings were Michael and Kathleen.

Rosemary married Louis Albert DuScheid at St. George Church, Pittsburgh, on June 3, 1939.

From a list of Pennsylvania Registered Nurses, 1940-1941, published by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners: "Rosemary Horan Duscheid, 158 Warrington Ave., Pittsburgh."

Louis DuScheid died suddenly in 1966. Rosemary died October 21, 1970. They are buried at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Carrick, Allegheny County.
