Eleanor Elizabeth Holik was born in Czechoslovakia on August 29, 1901. She immigrated to the United States and arrived in 1906.

In 1920, Eleanor was a servant for a private family in Edgeworth, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

During World War II, and beyond, Eleanor Holik served in the U. S. Army Nurse Corps. She entered active service on May 15, 1943 and was separated from service on June 4, 1948.

She died on November 23, 1990 at 89 years of age. She is buried at Parkwood Cemetery and Mausoleum, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Maryland.
