OBITUARY
Thomas M. Hoerner, 47, of 364 Brown School Road, Pulaski, died Sunday, Sept 6, 2009, at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born in Pittsburgh on May 1, 1962, he was a son of the late Edward J. Hoerner and Eileen Hillgrove.
Thomas lived most of his life in the Pittsburgh area, including the last seven years in Pulaski.
After graduating from the Pittsburgh school system and St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, he worked as a registered nurse for 20 years at St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh, Grove City Hospital and Grove Manor Nursing Home in Grove City.
His hobbies included golf, hunting, going on cruises and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Survivors include his wife of five years, Lisa L. Proudfoot; a stepdaughter, Amber M. Bicek of Pulaski; a stepson, Duane F. Bicek of Pulaski; three brothers, Edward C. Hoerner of Cary, N.C., Paul J. Hoerner of Verona, and Lawrence A. Hoerner of Jeannette; and two sisters, Carol Callwood of Gibsonia and Anne Montgomery of Evans City.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Goeshen Church in Grove City. The Rev. Marsha Green will officiate.
