Hilda R. Lynch, 75, of 3008 East Brittington, Williamsburg, Virginia and formerly of St. Marys, died Tuesday evening, Aug. 18, 2009 at her residence in Williamsburg following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 9, 1934 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Fred and Florence Gleixner Hepner.

On Aug. 27, 1957 in St. Mary’s Church, she married the late John J. Lynch, Jr. who preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1999.

She graduated from Central High School. She graduated from the St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh. She was a member of the Williamsburg Women's Club and a former member of the Nurses' Study Club in St. Marys.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen, Mrs. Don DiPlacido of Kingwood, TX, and Laura Lynch of Denver, CO; a son, John J. Lynch and his wife, Kimberly of Fredericksburg, VA; and two grandsons.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ken Hepner, and a sister, Eileen Daniel.

Private funeral services for Hilda Lynch will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, St. Marys.

There will be no visitation.
