AILEEN M. McKILLOP, 75, of Lower Burrell, died peacefully Saturday, April 24, 2010, at home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Arnold, June 8, 1934, the daughter of the late Clarence and Rose Heighes. She was a registered nurse at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Obstetrics Department, retiring in 1966. She was a 1956 graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell, and enjoyed reading, QVC, crafts and spending time with her family and her dog, Mugsy. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, John T. McKillop Sr.; three sons, Mark (Marsha) McKillop, of Big Sky, Mont., M. Scott (Lisa) McKillop, of Lower Burrell, and Steve ( Beth) McKillop, of Freeport; grandchildren, Jessica, Jenna, Matt, Travis, Justin, Shane and Jacob; and a brother, Charles Heighes, of Hampton, Va. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Thomas "J.T." McKillop Jr.; and a brother, Karl Heighes. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, Lower Burrell. Christian funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Lower Burrell.
