Martina N. (Harvey) Campbell, 83, of Pembroke, died Oct. 14, 2006.

Born, raised and educated in Pittsburgh, Mrs. Campbell graduated from St. George High School and St. Francis School of Nursing in 1945. She had been employed by St. Francis Hospital, later called St. Francis General Hospital, in Pittsburgh, and retired at age 65. Following her retirement, she moved to Pembroke in 1987.

Mrs. Campbell served in the Nurse Cadet Corps during World War II.

She was an active member of Pembroke Senior Citizens, as well as St. Thecla's Parish in Pembroke.

She leaves her daughter, Nora Campbell of Pembroke; her sister, Rose Mary Hunter of California; her granddaughter, Martina Ryder of Pembroke; her nieces and nephews, Linda and Roy Dimsey, Cynthia and John Verne, Robert and Kelly Hunter, Glenn and Rhoda Hunter, as well as 11 grandnieces and grandnephews, and six great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, all of California.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Thecla Church, Pembroke. Interment will be at a later date. Arrangements were handled by Shepherd Funeral Home, Pembroke.
