OBITUARY: Barbra Ann (Hartung) Capizzi died on May 5, 2022, at Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Barbra was born on October 1, 1948, in Pittsburgh, PA. She attended St. George Catholic School and graduated in 1966. She attended nursing school at St. Francis Hospital, then graduated from Penn State University with her BSN and Master's degree in Nursing. Barbra had a long career in nursing, but especially enjoyed working in the OR and her role as manager of the department in Palm Beach Regional Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. Barbra was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Leonard Capizzi; and stepdaughter, Patricia Capizzi. She was also preceded in death by her father, Walter Hartung; and her mother, Rita Sekinger Hartung. She is survived by her loving partner of 17 years, Warren Bell, whom she resided with in Bluffton, South Carolina. She is also survived by her loving brothers and sisters, Stephen Hartung (Dawn), Kathleen Gruber (Robert) Judith Fischer (Harold) Walter Hart, and Tim Hartung (Mayra); and her stepdaughters, Christi A. Capizzi and Deborah Capizzi. She has many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who brought such joy into her life. Barbra will be greatly missed by all. There is no memorial service scheduled at this time.
