On August 8, 1942, at Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin, Pennsylvania, Anna Marie Hanlon, 38, married William Barrett, 45. According to the marriage license application, Anna Marie, a nurse, was born on April 15, 1904 in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. Her parents were Daniel Hanlon, born in Illinois, and Mary Hollis, born in Pennsylvania, both deceased at the time of this marriage. William Barrett, a dentist, was born December 21, 1896 in Wilmerding. He was previously married and his wife died in 1927.
William Barrett and his first wife had a daughter, Mary Lou, married name Ley. She died in 1998.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Dental School, Dr. Barrett practiced dentistry in Wilmerding for many years. He died at St. Francis Hospital on December 14, 1965. He is buried at Braddock Catholic Cemetery. Anna Marie died on January 2, 1992 and she is buried by her husband.
