OBITUARY: Shirley Ann Lundstrom, 87, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family on May 21 [2018]. Born in Providence, R.I. to the late Carl and Fern Hanes, Shirley came to this area in 1974 after graduating from St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pa. She retired from her nursing career after 20 years of service at St. Thomas Hospital. Shirley was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. - Preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, and her daughter, Judith Luther, she is survived by daughters, Kris (Paul) Laur, and Kathy Gabele; sons, Dale (Ruth), Bruce, and Jeff (Kelly); brother, Don Hanes; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. - Calling hours will be on Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt. 91). Friends may also call on Saturday, from 10 to 11 at Redeemer Lutheran Church (2141 5th St., Cuyahoga Falls) where Pastors Keith Johnson and Paul Frerichs will conduct a memorial service at 11. - In lieu of flowers please make to donations to Mended Hearts or Redeemer Church. -- Published in Akron Beacon Journal from May 23 to May 24, 2018.
