Grimme - Wife of Joseph Grimme of 617 Bell avenue, died at 11:39 o'clock last night at the Altoona Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Altoona, Aug. 25, 1877, a daughter of Stephen and Mary (Brandt -sic [should be Inlow]) Krise and married Mr. Grimme Aug 22, 1899, the 49th wedding anniversary being celebrated this year. Mrs. Grimme was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and guild of branch 1290 L.C.B.A. and the Ladies Auxiliary Knights of St. George. Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Sister M. Melissa, CSA, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. James W. McAndrews of Pittsburgh, three grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Frances Thatcher of Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs. Grimme reposes at the V.L. Stevens funeral home.

Joseph Grimme - Of 617 Bell avenue, died at 1 o'clock this morning in St. Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh, where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. He was born in Altoona March 24, 1876, a son of Frank and Mary (Seidel) Grimme, and was an employee of the Altoona Works. Mr. Grimme was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, the Knights of St. George, St. Joseph's society and of the Altar Society. His wife, Mrs. Anne (Krise) Grimme died two years ago this week. Surviving are two daughters, Sister Melissa of the Order of St. Agnes, in Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. J.W. McAndrews of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, one brother and one sister, Francis of the city, and Sister M. Leona of the Charity Order in Swissvale. Mr. Grimme will repose at the V.L. Stevens Funeral Home after noon tomorrow.
