Hilda A. Geary was born on October 14, 1912 in Pennsylvania to John Geary and Mary Rose Hughes.

At the time of the 1920 Federal Census, the family lived on Edgewood Avenue, Trafford, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Her siblings were James, Marie, Ralph, George, Catherine, Mercedes, Regina, and William. In 1930, there was a another sister, Genevieve.

From a list of Pennsylvania Registered Nurses, 1940-1941, published by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners: "Hilda A. Geary, 318 Edgewood Ave., Trafford."

Brother, William Geary died on April 10, 1952.

Hilda married Regis Carney and they were residents of Wilkinsburg when Hilda died on October 9, 1952. She is buried at Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
