In 1925, in Western Pennsylvania District Court, Margaret Reeta Geagan, born in County Clare, Ireland on March 20, 1901, filed a Declaration of Intention to become a Naturalized Citizen. She became a Naturalized Citizen on December 16, 1927, at which time she was living in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, and her middle name was spelled Rita.

In both the 1930 and 1940 Federal Census Records, Margaret Geagan was employed as a nurse at the Pinel Sanitarium, a psychiatric facility in Chicago.

From a list of Pennsylvania Registered Nurses, 1940-1941, published by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners: "Margaret Geagan, 741 Diversey Parkway, Chicago, Ill."

Margaret Rita Geagan married Louis Adams in Cook County, Illinois on June 19, 1942. Nothing further is known.
