In August 1971, Sister Mary John was honored for twenty-five years of service as the Administrator of the St. Francis Hospital in New Castle. She retired that year but continued to serve as the Administrative Auxiliary Liason.

Sister Mary John was born October 18, 1893 and died in New Castle in November 1978.
