THELMA AGNES EIBER RAMLOW

Class of 1932

Thelma Agnes Eiber, born on October 13, 1909, was the daughter of Joseph Eiber and Mary Ford, residents of Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania.

At the time of the 1920 Federal Census, of Altoona, Joseph Eiber, 47, a Machinist at the Steam Railway, and his wife, Mary, 42, had the following children: Mary, 20, Hilery, 18, Madeline, 12, Thelma, 10, and Henry, 5, all born in Pennsylvania.

The mother, Mrs. Mary Ford Eiber, died on June 18, 1927, at age 50.

Thelma attended nursing school and graduated in 1932. From there, she moved to New York.

From the list of Registered Nurses in Pennsylvania, 1940-1941, published by the State Board of Nurse Examiners: "Thelma Agnes Eiber, 1020 N. Jackson St., Wilmington, Del."

The 1940 Federal Census of New Castle, Wilmington County, Delaware, lists Frederick Ramlow, 41, born in New York, and his wife, Thelma, 32, born in Pennsylvania. Frederick had lived in Manhattan, New York in 1935. Thelma had lived on Long Island, Queens County, New York in 1935. Frederick was employed as a Draftsman at DuPont.

The Ramlows are found in the Wilmington City Directories in 1942, 1944 and 1946. They were still living there when her father died in Altoona in 1955.

Thelma Agnes Ramlow died on August 14, 1992; last residence, Pompano Beach, Broward County, Florida. Her husband died in June 1977.
