In Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, on August 17, 1940, Grace E. DeNino, 24, Registered Nurse, married Daniel L. McCarthy, 28, Engineer, born in Pittsburgh. The marriage record incicates that she was born in Ambridge on April 1, 1916, and her parents were Joseph DeNino and Antoinette Scharerto. She was living on South Millvale Avenue at the time of the marriage.

In January 1950, a daughter, Antoinette McCarthy, died of cancer.

Grace and Daniel L. McCarthy divorced in Florida on May 16, 1972. She was 57 when she married John Mathew Harlan in Cuyahoga County, Ohio on April 26, 1974.

Daniel L. McCarthy died on May 30, 1978 in Florida.
