In about 1940, the couple moved to his home area, Canton, Ohio, and Dr. Ramsayer, a graduate of Western Reserve Medical School, went into practice with his brother, Ralph. An article states that he had been a resident physician at hospital in Columbus, Pittsburgh, and New York. During World War II, Dr. Ramsayer served as a Captain.
