Following her graduation from the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in 1977, Teresa Lynn Deithorn went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from LaRoche College in 1984.

The death of Teresa "Terri" Lynn Deithorn Westfall occurred on December 3, 1986.

Following Terri's death, her family established the Teresa Lynn (Terri) Deithorn Memorial Scholarship to promote nursing education.
