Cecilia Caroline Dannenhauer was the daughter of Ludwig (Louis) Dannenhauer and Isabel M. Crawford, who married in Allegheny County in 1921, and resided in McKeesport. Isabel had been previously married and had three children, Rose, Francis and Isabel Markle. The children of Ludwig and Isabel Dannenhauer were Louis, Ernest, Cecilia and June.

When Cecilia was a student nurse at St. Francis, she participated in the U. S., World War II Cadet Nursing Corps. Her membership card indicates that she was born on October 18, 1927. Her residence was McKeesport.

During the Korean War, Cecilia enlisted in the United States Air Force Nurse Corps. She later served in the Reserves, and achieved the rank of Captain. She married Paul J. Bauman, an Air Force officer, who served in both Korea and Vietnam, retiring as a Major.

Cecilia's husband died on January 30, 1987. She died on February 22, 1999 in San Antonio, Texas. They are interred at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.
