In the Federal Census of 1940, on Montpelier Avenue, Dormont, Allegheny County, Andrew J. and Annie M. Daly, both born in Michigan, lived with their children, Margaret L., 38, Registered Nurse, born in Michigan, and Daniel J., 21. In 1920, they had lived in Beaver County,Pennsylvania, at which time, the children were Margaret L., 18, Catherine E., 15, James A. C., 8 and John D., 4 months.
From a list of Registered Nurses, published by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners for the years 1940-1941: "Margaret Lucille Daly, 1664 Montpelier Ave., Pittsburgh."
Nothing proves that she graduated from St. Francis, but no other possibilities were located.
Sometime after 1940, Margaret Lucille Daly married Christopher Patrick Conway, a Marine Corps veteran of World War I.
The father, Andrew James Daly, died in 1941. His wife, Anna (Mangan) Daly, died in 1955. Margaret Conway gave the information for her mother's death record. Christopher and Margaret Conway also lived at her family home on Montpelier Street.
Born on April 5, 1896, Christopher Daly died on February 23, 1963. Margaret died on August 18, 1983. They are buried at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
