Columbia, South Carolina - A Funeral Mass for Barbara Ann Coyle Carroll, 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022 at St. Peter's Catholic Church.

Ms. Carroll died Monday, August 29, 2022. Born in Springfield, Missouri, she was a daughter of the late John Arthur Coyle and Ann Lavelle Coyle. She received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and her Master's degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina. Barbara worked as a nurse for 40 years, retiring from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. In 1999, she was awarded Excellence in Nursing Practice by the American Nurses Association. She has been a resident of Laurel Crest Retirement Community since 2018.

Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Carroll (Allen Edens) of Columbia, SC, and Caitlin Mary Carambelas (Kris) of Salt Lake City, UT; two grandchildren, Mary Carambelas Bush (Hayden) and Grace Carambelas Doane (Morgan), both of Salt Lake City, UT; great-grandchildren, Leo and Ellie Bush; and sister, Susan Coyle (Todd Seeleman) of Asheville, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Jack Coyle and her former husband, Bill Carroll.
