[http://www.observertoday.com] Died June 30, 2004 - BILLIE FOSTER -- She was born in Garland [Warren County, PA] on Nov. 8, 1918, a daughter of the late William and Mae Hill Clancy. She was raised and educated in Warren and graduated from Warren High School. She was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, and returned to Warren after graduation and served as a public health nurse for more than 20 years before retiring.
In 1983, she moved to Silver Springs, Md., and was a daily volunteer with the Washington Adventist Hospital, Washington, D.C. until 1998 when she moved to Northampton, Mass. She was a volunteer in Northampton with the Cooley Dickson Hospital for many years. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Northampton, Mass., and a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality. She was a former member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, and an active member and volunteer with the Lathrop Community, where she resided.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Fago, Northampton, Mass.; three sons, David Fago, Washington, D.C., George Fago, Phoenixville, and Charles Foster, Andover, Mass.; and a niece.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Fago, in 1952; her second husband, Frank Foster, in 1982; a son, Michael Foster; and a sister, Mary Rosenquist.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.Friday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Walter E. Packard, pastor, celebrant. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. The Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
