Imelda Caton, born February 1, 1921 in New York, was the daughter of William Ruthven Caton, born in Maine, and Kathryn (also Catherine) Marie Mooney, born in Ireland. The family is found in the 1930 Federal Census of Colver, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. The children born in New York were Kathryn M., 12; James R., 10; Imelda, 9; Dorothy, 7; Winifred R., 6; William, 4. Born in Pennsylvania were Mary, almost 3, Joseph, 1 1/2, and Francis, 6 months. The father was a Steam Engineer in the coal mining industry.

According to her daughter, Ann Marie, Imelda married John B. Reilly and they became the parents of eight children. She worked for Prince George's General Hospital for 25 years, advancing to nursing administration. Imelda also graduated with a business degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore.

Imelda died October 7, 1981 and is buried at Resurrection, Clinton, Prince George County, Maryland.
