Rita Marie Burens was born in Clairton, Allegheny County, on March 25, 1916. Her parents were Peter Anthony Burens and Adelaide Gertrude Rospert.
The Burens family is found in the 1920 Federal Census at Shaw Avenue, Clairton, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Peter A. Burens and his wife "Adelheide" G., both born in Ohio, had the following children: Gertrude M., 22, Margaret C., 20, Alfred M., 19, Vincent J., 17, and Paul E., all born in Ohio, and Christopher C., 8, Jerome J., 6, and Rita M., almost 4, born in Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Burens - "Adeline" - was a widow by 1930. Her husband had died of stomach cancer on November 14, 1923. Living in her home on Shaw Avenue in 1930 were her son, Alfred, and wife and their two daughters, as well as Vincent, Paul, Christopher, Jerome, Rita, Gertrude, and Margaret. They also had a young married couple boarding there.
The Charleroi Mail, September 21, 1938: "Intentions to Wed" - William F. Taylor and Rita Marie Burens, both of Clairton.
In 1940, living in the home of her mother, was Rita Taylor, 24, and her husband, William, 26, "Assistant in a Carbon-black chemistry."
Rita Marie's mother died in 1955 in Inglewood, Los Angeles, California. She and her husband, Peter, are buried at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Bellevue, Huron County, Ohio.
In 1959, William F.[Finley] Taylor and wife, Rita M., were residing in Torrance, California, and he was a department head at Dow Chemical.
Rita Marie Burens Taylor of Torrance, Los Angeles, California, died December 17, 1976. Her husband, born in 1913, died August 21, 1996 in Palm Springs, California.
