The daughter of William and Edna (Steiger) Bradburn, Helen "Ruth" Bradburn was born in Pittsburgh on August 16, 1924.

Ruth participated in the U. S. Army Nurse Cadet Corps while a student nurse.

She married George N. Rudawski from McKees Rocks on June 6, 1946 in Pittsburgh, and they had one son and four daughters. George, an Army Veteran of WWII, died April 25, 1998, at which time they were residing in Springfield, Ohio.

Before retirement, Ruth was the Quality Assurance Director of Mental Health Services for Clark County, Ohio.
