OBITUARY

Mary P. Boffo, 89, formerly of Rochester, died on Saturday, December 29, 2007, in Friendship Ridge, where she had been a resident for the last four years.

She was born on August 14, 1918, in Rochester, and was a daughter of the late James and Josephine (Climo) Boffo. She was a retired registered nurse having worked for St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh for over 50 years, and was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Rochester. Mary was a kind and caring person who will be remembered for her many years of dedication serving others in her nursing profession.

She is survived by a brother, Andrew Boffo, in Titusville, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Anthony and Leon Boffo, and Leonard Buffo, and a sister, Carmel Matichowski.

Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 7 p.m. in the HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES OF ROCHESTER, www.huntsmanfuneralhomes.com, 502 Adams St. A Catholic blessing service will be conducted in the funeral home at 4 p.m. Monday.

Private entombment will take place in St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.

The family would like to thank Dr. Brett and the staff of Friendship Ridge for their wonderful care given to Mary while she resided at the facility.
