Rita Berkoben Bonga, 76, of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, in Briarcliff Pavilion, North Huntingdon. She was born May 6, 1925, in Natrona Heights, a daughter of the late John and Anna Rusche Malarkey. Rita received a master's degree from the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh, and was retired from Allegheny General Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Bonga, on Jan. 20, 2002; and a brother, Eugene Malarkey. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Morrison and her husband, Donald, of North Huntingdon; a son, James Berkoben and his wife, Catherine, of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Louis Malarkey of Parker and John Malarkey of New York; four grandchildren, Amanda, Patrick, James and Christopher; and two great-grandchildren, James and Carter. Services and interment will be private. Arrangements by the SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon.
