Marie Elizabeth Bauer was born on August 4, 1904, in Gallipolis, Gallia County, Ohio, to Leo Bauer, born in Butler County, Pennsylvania, and Eva Reder Bauer, born in Millvale, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The family lived in Allegheny County and by 1910, their children were Cornelius, Harry, Marie, Leo, Ethelreda, and Florence/Florenz. By 1920, they had added Regis, Bertha and Earl.

Marie graduated from nursing school in 1924.

On April 3, 1928, in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, Marie E. Bauer, no occupation, married Romeo Andreola, a musician. Born in 1900, he was the son of Joseph and Elvira (Conti) Andreola of Charleroi, Washington County, Pennsylvania.

Marie and Romeo had a son, Joseph (1928-1990), and a daughter, Rose Marie (1936-2016).

The divorce of Marie and Romeo Andreola was published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on November 15, 1939.

Romeo Andreola served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He died May 6, 1967 and is buried at Calvary Cemetery, Charleroi.

Marie Bauer Andreola died March 13, 1995. She is buried at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Etna, Allegheny County.
