On September 11, 1941, in Pittsburgh, Virginia Bathe, born in McKeesport on January 28, 1918, married Alousius J. Bieri, born May 6, 1918 in Pittsburgh, the son of Michael Bieri and Rose Bruggman. On her marriage license, she said she was living at the St. Francis Hospital and was a Registered Nurse, age 23. Her parents were Charles Bathe and Margaret Conley.
Virginia died on March 6, 1978. Her husband died May 8, 1994. They are buried at Saint Michael's Cemetery, Mount Oliver, Allegheny County.

SON'S OBITUARY: Charles M. Bieri, 70, of Ross Township, died Saturday evening, April 18, 2015, at Manor Care in North Hills. Born Aug. 2, 1944, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Aloysius and Virginia Bathe Bieri. Charles was a distribution manager for Dormont Appliance. He served as a sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed woodcarving. Surviving are a daughter, Cindy Naughton, of Mars; a son, Michael E. Bieri, of Ross Township; his grandchildren, Brenden, Bethany, Anniston and Devin; and his companion, Missy Dwojak. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Bieri. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the McDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME INC., 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tricia Shneck, family friend officiating. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Washington County.
