Veronica J. Miser, 75, of East End Avenue, Beaver, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2006, in her home, following an extended illness.
Born April 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Clara Vogel Arthurs. She had resided in Beaver for 42 years and formerly lived in Vanport. Vera had been a nurse anesthesis at the Rochester General Hospital and later at The Medical Center, Beaver. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver, and the Marian Guild of the church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Miser, on April 6, 2002, and a grandson, Michael, on June 29, 2004.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Shawn Benavidez, Haslett, Mich., and Christina and Chris Yohe, Beaver Falls; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Emily, David, Nicholas, Amanda, Colin and Shawn Michael; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William and Patsey Miser and Donna and Don Ausherman, and a number of nieces and nephews and many close friends.
The family wishes to express their special thanks to Odyssey Hospice and particularly Renee for the wonderful care given Vera.
Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the TODD FUNERAL HOME, 340 Third St., Beaver. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Church by Monsignor William Ogrodowski.
Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery.
A Rosary will be recited Sunday at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
