General Notes: Anna Mae (Cunningham) Smith Obituary: The Greeneville Sun, Greeneville, TN Dec. 10, 2003 Anna Mae Cunningham Smith Died 12-08-2003 - Anna Mae Cunningham Smith, 76, of Greeneville, died Monday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Tusculum Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late John and Mary Cunningham and a widow of Shaffer Smith, Sr. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Dennis and Terry Smith of Mobile, Ala., Shaffer and --- of Jefferson City; two daughters and a son-in-law: Lynn Smith Gallaher of Mobile, Ala., and Shirley and Hubert Walker Jr. of Afton; nine grandchildren; Jason Smith, Brandon Smith, J. B. Gallaher, Amy Gallaher, Dean Walker, Thomas Walker, Jessie Smith, Morgan Smith, and Christian Ingram; a great grandson: Joey Gallaher, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a son Howard Smith; two sisters: Ruth Clark and Helen McCormick and a brother, Jack Cunningham. Family and friends will meet in Graceland Memorial Gardens at 2:15 Sunday afternoon for a graveside service at 2:30 P.M. The Rev. Keith Mowery will officiate. Jeffers Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Anna married Shaffer Fielding Smith, son of Orval Allen Smith and Ossie (Madge) Shaffer. (Shaffer Fielding Smith was born on 24 Jun 1924 and died on 12 May 1989 in North Carolina.) |
