The Veteran Reserve Corps, originally known as the "The Invalid Corps," was an organization of the U. S. Army. Soldiers who were wounded but still willing to serve, were transferred into this support corps to guard in prison camps and to help in hospitals. This list is simply a list of WV Union men who were wounded or declared unfit for active service and transferred to this US Army Corps.
